Once in space, the human said: “We will colonize you, Universe!”
“Oh, really?” answered the Universe, and threw a flaming fireball towards the human!
And the Universe, who enjoys explosions, looked for more humans…
and found many.
Ohhhhh scary. Haha this is actually a pretty fun game. Given, it’s very simple. The whole point: throw flaming asteroids at humans and destroy their ships as much as possible.
Okay, I’m cool with that. I also really like how at the beginning of a new level, they give the level a name, and the name gives you a hint as to how you need to throw [ ... ]

Not to mention it saves trees, right?
I’ve been using Flashcards Deluxe on my iPod touch since last year, and I like it even more on my iPad!
Of course, if I were to describe it here in my own words, this could take forever, because it has so many great features. So I’ll just give you the list from the app page:
• Two smart study modes that automatically focus more on the cards you miss: Leitner and a more advanced Spaced Repetition mode (similar to SuperMemo or Anki)
• Quizlet.com integration – Browse and download any of their 2 million+ flashcard [ ... ]

Myspace Music Romeo. This is a really cool app. Have any of you ever heard of Pandora Radio? Of course you have, who hasn’t? It’s that really cool app/website where you can type in an artist or song and have it play similar songs that you will probably like.
Well this is like Pandora Radio for Music Videos. The only big difference is that instead of choosing a song or artist, you choose your mood. You could be happy, partying, dancing, studying, whatever. It has music videos for you!
Despite the name (“Myspace” Music Romeo) you don’t have to have [ ... ]

One of the first apps I looked for when I got my iPad was facebook. And when I found out that there were only two actual facebook apps (that I could find-correct me if I’m wrong!) that cost $3.99 and $4.99 I was very mad, to say the least.
I considered buying them at first, but I figured that I would wait, you know? And as I started using my iPad more and more, I realized why nobody had made a free Facebook app:
You can go on the internet with a big screen on the iPad.
Duh.
I felt so stereotypically blonde [ ... ]

Frame Up is a free photo app. It’s really neat, I like it. I think that most of the time, people use it for actual serious designing of rooms, but I like to just have fun with it.
I’m really into photography and these are some of my favorite pictures I’ve taken arranged on Frame Up:
Yeah. It’s pretty cool. You can change the background to yellow, green, or beige with the lights. Or you can change it to blue, green, grey, or red just plain. Or you can change it to dark red with a light red border.

Zinio for the iPad-this is possibly the COOLEST app I have on my iPad. Very likely. Almost certainly. Definitely.
Zinio is an e-magazine website (www.zinio.com) where you can buy subscriptions to magazines. So what makes this so amazing? The sheer number of magazines available. You want it? Then you can be pretty much sure they have it.
They have Rolling Stone, Smithsonian, Popular Mechanics, Elle, Reader’s Digest, National Geographic, iCreate (a spanish Apple magazine!!), The Economist, and my favorite: Mental Floss.
There are all of those, and ridiculous amounts more. And they’re really not that expensive. Example: you can [ ... ]

Muy bien, amigos!! So now we’re back in school, and most likely you all are taking at least one language class. I’m taking Spanish Five Honors, and it’s tough! But I’m kind of getting to the point where I’m almost fluent in Spanish. Que bueno, verdad?
And I have been using this website for the past three years, I believe, for Spanish. It is an amazing website called www.wordreference.com. It’s also good for French, Italian, and a few other languages, I think.
And they have an iPhone app too! Three of them, actually. Uno para el Español, uno per le italiane, [ ... ]

I just got a new iPad case to review, it’s called the M-Edge Trip Jacket. It’s like one of those portfolio cases. The outside can look like one of two things: professional or fun. There are some that are black on the case and beige on the “binding” and the strap. But there are also really fun colors like the pink and orange ones.
I personally felt like going beyond one-color fun and got a striped one (to the left of this writing). That is actually the one I got in the box from the company [ ... ]

So I think this Photoshop app is just a little bit ahead of PhotoPad. You can do a lot more, and you can control it too. They’re both free, though.
You can crop straighten, rotate, or flip. You can change the amount of exposure, color saturation, tint, contrast, or make it black and white. You can make it look sketchy, have a soft focus, or sharpen it. You can choose from the folloing effects too: vibrant, pop (with the four color tints, one in each corner… you know what I’m talking about, right?), vignette blur (where it blurs around the [ ... ]

Solitaire, yeah. That is the number one top free iPad app in the game category. I think that’s kind of strange of all the games out there to download, solitaire is the most often downloaded.
I’m not saying solitaire is not fun (because it is), or that it’s stupid to download it (because if I was saying that I would be such a filthy little hypocrite…), it’s just… idk. It seems like there would be some super awesome original iPad game on the top. I guess this just goes to show you how old and traditional games are still popular [ ... ]
The lit teacher Im going to have next year is really tough. He’s an awesome teacher, but tough. Like, super tough, I have to know EVERYTHING about those summer reading books. So I’ve been note-taking and annotating so much. And Penultimate is really helpful with that.
It’s really awesome because you actually write the notes yourself. Don’t get me wrong, typing on the iPad isn’t that bad really, but I do prefer writing the notes myself. There are three different Pen sizes, and four different colors: red, blue, green, black. Which is nice for me and my OCD color obsession. [ ... ]

(No really this is a true story haha)
I work at this little tiny publishing company with maybe five full-time workers and four interns. (I’m an intern) And we don’t have that many computers. Eight, actually. And one of the full-time employees actually works from home, but she sometimes uses one of the computers in the office remotely but not a lot lately. And there are usually one or two of the interns doing shipping, so they don’t need a computer.
Well yesterday everyone needed a computer. Including the employee that works from home. So she was using the [ ... ]
Let’s face the facts: it really is a girl’s world. xP
This magazine is really cool. It’s not your typical girl’s magazine with nothing but makeup and models wearing clothes that nobody will ever buy or wear. This magazine actually has interesting articles that still relate to girls.
They have articles about girls in history (like Anne Frank), jobs that had previously been exclusive to men but now have a lot of women working in them, and lots of other randomly neat articles. (There was one article about the history of bras… =P It was actually really interesting haha)

Pretty much everyone has a Skype, that’s waht makes it such a great way to communicate with your friends. You can instant message, call, text, or video chat on your computer. But one of our facebook fans wanted to know if you could do the same on your iPad.
Well, the answer is: YES.
There’s an app for that. Fortunately that app is also free. It allows you to call your friends on skype (free) or on landlines (you have to pay for a special skype account for that), instant message them (free), and text them (you have to pay [ ... ]
There is a really net website called
Blik; it has absolutely nothing to do with the iPad except I can see the Asteroids wall decals in a gamers room while they play on the iPad. You know: retro vs. new.
Blik makes wallpapers that you can just stick to your wall, but they’re some of the coolest wallpapers I have ever seen! There are some that the company designs on their own. They draw on a lot of classic ideas like toys, video games, and just classic designs. Like this:
Remember this toy?
But they don’t only design their [ ... ]
