I’ve got another funny iPad story!! It was great.
So my two friends (they’re brother and sister) both have iPads that they use at school for textbooks and stuff. And of course, they still have games on them and stuff so we were playing Fruit Ninja at lunch passing around the iPad, right? And then… dun dun duunnnn….
My lit teacher walks up. And he’s pretty cool, in an unpredictable sort of way. You never know when he walks up whether he’s going to say something funny or whether you’re going to get in trouble.

Shelf Unbound, the literary magazine I am the kid contributor for, is printing releasing their digital magazine TODAY!
The cool thing about the iPad is that a lot of magazines are now on the iPad. So, instead of going to the bookstore and buying a copy (gas, time, wasting paper) you can download an issue RIGHT NOW and ta-da!~ presto: you can start reading. I really want to read about the creepy doll in the photo above. Really.

So, this guy Jeff said 50 million iPads will sell a year.
Yeah, 50 million sounds like Jeff Matthews (a guy at RAM partners) thinks Apple is trying to make everything seem amazing.
I mean, 50 million is really a lot. Too much.
But, then I looked at how many iPads are selling and thought about it.
Apple sold 1 million units really fast when it came out. Then it hit the 3 million sales just as fast.
right this minute 4 million iPads have sold.
Apple thinks 12 million are gonna sell by the end of this year (hello Christmas [ ... ]

Muy bien, amigos!! So now we’re back in school, and most likely you all are taking at least one language class. I’m taking Spanish Five Honors, and it’s tough! But I’m kind of getting to the point where I’m almost fluent in Spanish. Que bueno, verdad?
And I have been using this website for the past three years, I believe, for Spanish. It is an amazing website called www.wordreference.com. It’s also good for French, Italian, and a few other languages, I think.
And they have an iPhone app too! Three of them, actually. Uno para el Español, uno per le italiane, [ ... ]

When we were choosing the person from the iPad Kids Team, we all knew who it was going to be. ME!
This decision was so easy because I used to go to the Montessori School.
Well, back to the app, this app is very simple and easy, i would say its for toddlers around the age of 4-5. You can pick the different level of crossword you want to play, 1 word. 2 words, or 3 words. You may also pick the Movable alphabet button.

Yeah- this is made with a camera (Olympus Pen, 1959). And while a camera feature is not an option on the iPad (yet) what we like the most is the essence of creativity in this video. Imagination is alive and well.

USA Today newspaper and a Dallas newspaper had stories running about the iPad and kids in school.
I think all kids will have an iPad in the future. It just makes sense. Just like we all have backpacks now and do not carry our books with twine. I mean, really, who doesn’t think the iPad is going to change the way kids take notes, share notes, eliminate textbooks, have project websites, teacher class website links, the whole thing.
So, here is the news from major newspapers, but as kids we can see that future because we are into it already.

interactive means you can touch the iPad and the letter are said outloud. You can also move things like the zipper. Our neighbor’s two little kids liked it when they did that.
The Robot is good. But the Z is best because every kid likes to play with zippers. It is neat how they work and go together and come apart.
I think kids who are in Pre-K and K will like this app and they will learn stuff too. The app is $2.99 here and on sale for a little bit so if you want it [ ... ]

When I read about this dude who makes serious art on his ipad i thought, Why? I mean, he studied for years to be an artists and now his work is so one dimentional. But, like all graphic art- it is one dimentional. His is just done by finger and not a mouse, right?

This free app is where they give you samples of pictures for puzzles
i play this with my family and we each take a side of the ipad as ours and try to grab the puzzle pieces that go on our side only. it gets hard because all ours hands get in the way but that is fun too.
you select one and they give you pieces puzzle and you can tell what size piece puzzle you want like size:
8×8 that is 64 pieces
10×10-100 pieces
14×14-196 pieces
18×18-324 pieces
and there is a tab that says groups of [ ... ]

The answer: no. No I do not.
Buuuuuuut… I have to-there are only 17 days left until school starts again (summer went by so quickly!!) and it’s probably about time to get all of my summer reading and summer math packets done. You know, get into the “school mode” I guess.

Aesop’s Fables are a set of 20 stories all kids should have. This app is $8.99 and worth every single shiny penny. There is a spinning wheel that lets the kid interact with the tales.
It has a spot the difference game gets unlocked as the kids read it. Oh, and this part is really cool: the parent can record their own voice so the story if told by the parent. This is neat if a Mom or Dad is going away for a business trip (or IRAQ) and the kid can hear their parent reading to them every night. [ ... ]
